2/10/2024 0 Comments Cheap transistor radiosThis steady expansion into the export market owed a great deal to Morita's August 1957 trip to the US, when he concluded a long-term agreement with Agrod Co. The November 16 Asahi Shimbun carried the following report: It was such a success that regular shipments could not keep up with year's-end demand, and a JAL plane had to be chartered to air-freight a large consignment. One other unforgettable aspect of the TR-63 was that it was the first transistor radio model to be exported. So intense was popular interest in the new pocketable radio that 50 of them were issued as "the first TR-63 off the line." Logically, of course, there can only be one "first off the line," but because Totsuko's fans were so enthusiastic to own "the first off the line" 50 of them ended up being supplied. He had shirts custom-made for his salesmen featuring a slightly larger pocket. The catch phrase would have lost its punch - except for a little ruse on Morita's part. Unfortunately though, the TR-63 was just barely larger than the pocket on a typical businessman's dress shirt. We now use it without a second thought, but who would ever guess that it originated as a Japanese-English term invented by Totsuko when it launched the TR-63? ![]() Today the word "pocketable" appears in English dictionaries. It seems that when the TR-63 came out, radios small enough to be slipped into a pocket were known in the US as "pocket" radios. The selling price of 13,800 yen equalled the monthly paycheck of the avarage Japanese salary earner. The TR-63 also consumed less than half the power. Compared to the 127x76x33mm dimensions of the TR-1 and its four transistors, the TR-63 measured 112x71x32mm and used six transistors for better recetion and output. It measured up favorably against the Regency TR-1 model, which had beaten Totsuko's transistor radio to become the world's first and, until the TR-63, had been the world's smallest. This was to be the world's smallest transistor radio, the TR-63 pocketable radio. Totsuko had another revolutionary product concept up its sleeve, one that would surely capture the public's imagination. As a result, Totsuko received orders through NHK from 200 schools all over the country. ![]() The TR-81, brought out at the end of 1956, was chosen by NHK for use by schools in remote areas. Around this time, Totsuko added a number of new models to its range of transistor radios.

The first SIVA replication chamber, designated Site 6, was built within the Cosmodrome in order to outfit the colony ships and rapidly build cities throughout other worlds. So confident was Clovis Bray in SIVA's capabilities that they eschewed adding safety measures, such as a kill switch. The Transmission project was eventually shuttered after it caused unforeseen side-effects in test subjects, and Clovis Bray focused entirely on SIVA, which was later completed and approved for deployment. Chioma Esi speculated in her audio diaries that Willa had been inspired by Vex radiolaria in designing the technology. While Transmission was intended only to enhance the strength, speed, and intelligence of prospective colonists using nanomachines, Willa envisioned SIVA as an all-purpose nanomachine capable of breaking down matter and reconstituting it, with applications ranging from reconstructive surgery to rapidly building entire cities. Willa Bray, the eldest granddaughter of House Bray. Ĭlovis Bray began work on SIVA at the height of the Golden Age, alongside a similar project known to the Guardians only as Transmission. The New Machine Age, shall we call it? Let's begin." - Dr. I look forward to the wonders that come from this replication complex. "Thank you for your faithful service, Dr. We are waiting for your signal to start." " The complex is ready for wholescale replication of the SIVA nanite. Alerted by Lord Saladin, the Guardian soon put a stop to this, destroying the Replication Chamber and later ending Aksis, Archon Prime. They could resurrect Fallen enemies and even use the tech against their enemies. It not only changed their forms, but it also granted them new abilities. It was later rediscovered by the Fallen, who took it to be the perfection of technology and sought to perfect themselves entirely, freeing them from their dependency on ether and mortal flesh and become Machine-Gods. Unable to destroy the virus, and with most of the Iron Lords being puppeted against each other under SIVA's control, Lady Jolder sealed both the virus and all of the Iron Lords (with the exception of Lord Saladin and Lady Efrideet) within its bunker, deep within the bowels of the Cosmodrome. It was later rediscovered by the Iron Lords during the early City Age, but it turned against them with the aid of the last Warmind, Rasputin, who was awakened from his centuries-long hibernation when the Iron Lords tried to steal SIVA in their attempt to utilize it for humanity's betterment. Considered an amazing breakthrough in technology, SIVA was envisioned be used to create new structures and colonies on new worlds faster than regular construction methods an all-purpose nanomachine capable of breaking down matter and reconstituting it, with applications ranging from reconstructive surgery to rapidly building entire cities. Prototypes contained in the Clovis Bray facilities on Mars were each programmed with only a single function, including Construct creation, viral armor enhancements, and cybernetic diagnostics. The technology had the ability to create nearly anything that anyone could ever need. ![]() Each nanomachine in SIVA's design is an independent, thinking machine that utilises a distributed quantum network to coordinate movement, akin to a mechanical version of Radiolaria, which is suggested to be what inspired the design. SIVA was once a Golden Age breakthrough in self-assembling, self-replicating nanotechnology, created by Clovis Bray to accelerate humanity's colonization effort. Given the right directions, it could create anything imaginable. ![]() I would say this dac is an excellent choice for mobile purpose, which will get the better sound of an android phone for a very cheap price. This is the Android Software Development Kit License Agreementġ.1 The Android Software Development Kit (referred to in the License Agreement as the "SDK" and specifically including the Android system files, packaged APIs, and Google APIs add-ons) is licensed to you subject to the terms of the License Agreement.
